Plata Coffee → Brand Identity





2022 Coffeeshop entrepreneurs Aaron Ketner and Rose Kerkmans and good friends, launched their new coffeeshop, Plata Coffee in Albuquerque, NM. They tasked us in creating a new identity that celebrated their established shop, which had found a space in Albuquerque's local coffeeshop scene. Our initial approach was to capture an essence of Albuquerque and New Mexico. We ended up using the yucca, grounded with a hand-written logotype that is inspired by neon signage found along Albuquerque's historic Route 66.
